A project of ZongoVation Hub, the Zongo Shark Tank Business Reality TV Show aims to find, inspire, and assist young people in Zongo villages throughout Ghana who has business ideas or startups that can help address issues and provide employment.
Out of the 200 applicants, there were ten (10) finalists. Three (3) of the young people will get GH 10,000 (GH 30,000 total), as well as business assistance services from ZongoVation Hub and other business specialists. The money will be used as startup capital for the chosen businesses.
The Grand Finale to crown the ultimate winners would be on Saturday, 1st October 2022 at the ST. Kizito R/C Basic School, Nima.
The ZongoVation Center is a local technological innovation hub devoted to the creation and development of new businesses and startups in Ghana’s Zongo villages. They help young people who have business ideas by giving them access to all the resources and networks they need.
They provide a range of classes and workshops on subjects like leadership, presentation skills, project management, data visualization, ICT & coding, and creative thinking in collaboration with their partners.
Enterprise Bureau is a proud partner of Zongo Shark Tank. Enterprise Bureau is a non-profit Enterprise Support Organization which seeks to offer opportunities through a digital ecosystem for youth-led start-ups to grow their business. Enterprise Bureau envisions maximising the chances of success for young businesses by connecting them to stakeholders using data-driven technology, hence the partnership with ZongoVation Hub in this initiative seeks to equip these young entrepreneurs with the equipment they need to grow their business.
On the 24th of September Miss Ethel Anne Komlaga the Executive Director-Enterprise Bureau guided Startups on how to prepare an investor pitch deck towards the preparation the finals.
